Introduction

The Women’s Cell of the college is constituted to ensure a safe, secure, and empowering environment for all girl students and women staff members. The Cell aims to promote gender equality, prevent harassment, and provide support and guidance to students in need.

Objectives

The Women’s Cell shall work with the following objectives:

1. To create awareness about women’s rights and gender equality.
2. To ensure a safe and respectful campus environment.
3. To provide counseling and support services to students.
4. To address grievances related to harassment or discrimination.
5. To organize programs for women empowerment, health, and self-defense.

Roles and Responsibilities

Awareness and Education

• Organize seminars, workshops, and awareness programs on women’s rights and gender sensitization.
• Conduct self-defense training sessions.
• Celebrate International Women’s Day and other relevant events.

Grievance Redressal

• Provide a platform for students to report issues confidentially.
• Investigate complaints fairly and promptly.
• Recommend appropriate action to the college administration.

Counseling and Support

• Offer emotional and psychological support.
• Guide students regarding academic, personal, and career concerns.

Meeting and Reporting

• The Women’s Cell shall meet at least once every month.
• Emergency meetings may be called if required.
• Proper minutes of meetings shall be maintained.
• An annual report of activities shall be submitted to the Principal.

Complaint Procedure

1. Complaints may be submitted in writing or through email.
2. The complaint shall be recorded confidentially.
3. The committee shall review and take appropriate action within 7–15 working days.
4. Strict confidentiality shall be maintained throughout the process.
