Mentorship
Mentorship
At Lzebra Girls College, Kota, the Student Mentorship Programme functions under the aegis of the Wellness and Health Committee with the objective of promoting students’ emotional well-being, mental health, academic growth, and overall personal development. The programme is designed to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where every student receives individual guidance and care.
Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who acts as a guide, counselor, and well-wisher throughout the academic session. Mentors maintain regular interaction with their mentees to monitor academic progress, attendance, behavioral development, and emotional health. Special attention is given to identifying stress-related issues, academic pressure, adjustment challenges, and personal concerns, ensuring timely support and guidance.
The mentorship initiative emphasizes preventive care and positive mental health practices. Through one-to-one counseling sessions, small group interactions, and periodic review meetings, mentors encourage students to build self-confidence, resilience, healthy study habits, and balanced lifestyles. Where necessary, students are guided towards appropriate support systems within the institution.
The programme also promotes awareness regarding physical health, stress management, time management, and work–life balance. It aligns with the broader objectives of the Wellness and Health Committee to foster a campus culture that values empathy, inclusivity, emotional strength, and mutual respect.
Confidentiality, trust, and sensitivity form the foundation of the mentorship process. By integrating academic mentoring with wellness support, the programme ensures that every student experiences holistic development and a positive, enriching educational journey.
