1. About the Committee

The Wellness and Health Committee has been constituted in the Institute as per AICTE guidelines to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students, faculty, and staff. The committee strives to create a healthy and safe campus environment through preventive, promotive, and curative health measures.

2. Objectives

  • To promote the overall health and well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
  • To organize health awareness programs, workshops, and campaigns on physical and mental wellness.
  • To ensure timely medical support and health services within the campus.
  • To promote healthy lifestyle practices, including nutrition, physical fitness, and stress management.
  • To implement AICTE guidelines regarding wellness, mental health, and hygiene.
  • To establish a mentor-mentee system where faculty mentors guide students in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

3. Functions of the Committee

  • Conduct regular health check-ups and medical camps for students and staff.
  • Organize wellness programs, yoga sessions, fitness activities, and stress management workshops.
  • Create awareness about mental health, substance abuse, and lifestyle-related diseases.
  • Maintain records of health-related incidents and provide reports to the Institute management.
  • Coordinate with external health agencies, hospitals, and experts for specialized services.
  • Develop and monitor health policies and procedures on campus.
  • Encourage participation in sports, recreation, and wellness initiatives.
  • Facilitate the mentor-mentee system, enabling mentors to guide students on wellness, coping strategies, and healthy habits.

4. Meetings

  • The Committee shall meet at least once every quarter.
  • Minutes of each meeting shall be recorded and submitted to the Institute management.
